The lion king - First Draft

Yesterday we went to the movies with te tinana we watched the lion king we had poping  popcorn and a fizzy drink same other people had water. Then we went into the theatre their were same adds  in the theatre then the movie cam on I was eating my popcorn and drinking my drink. then started The movie was nearly finish when it was finish 
(my favourite) part when Pumbaa the warthog and Timon found Simba laying on the sand. When Simba got big he wet back home to save his family Scar told simba that he killed mufasa then simba killed scar. 

  

Wonderful Sentences

I have been learning how to copy and paste from our class writing flip charts to share our learning. I know how to insert bullet points and use the highlighting tool.

We know that wonderful sentences need:

• detail (elaboration)
• capital letters and full stops
• Punctuation (, ! ? “ “)
• quality vocab - WOW words

WALT recognise different parts of speech

• Nouns are naming words. eg. chair, book, July, Awhi
• Adjectives describe nouns. Eg. wooden chair, writing book, freezing July, lovely Awhi
• Verbs are doing words. Eg run, walk, jump, skip, chew
• Adverbs describe verbs. Eg. briskly running, slowly walking, jumping high, skipping happily and chewing noisily.

EXAMPLES

1. The bird is angry

2.The bluey-blackish bird is very angry.

3.The blue and black bird is angry because same boys were throwing rocks and one of the rocks hit the bird and that is why the bird got angry.

1. The cat is sad. 
2. The black cat is sad because she has no home to sleep in. 

Tuna Kuwharuwharu (Long fin Eel)

This term we have been learning all about the long fin eel.    

Our assembly item was based on the story about the story Velvet and Elvis. This was a story about the migration journey that the long fin eel

I have created 3 different digital learning objects (DLO) to share mylearning on this topic.

The first is a poster that I am working on in my topic book about the challenges to the longfin eel. When I finish it I will take a photo and put it on my blog.

I also created a longfin eel life cycle using google drawing. 

I made a google poster to share five interesting facts about the Longfin eel.

My Wonderful Reading Video - Blue eggs

I felt a bit happy but nervous when I was reading to the camera. I learnt how to take a video from my drive and embed it on my blog.

Waitangi Trip

Last Tuesday our class went to Waitangi when we got there I saw Whaea Kerry and Whaea Monika. Next we went into the glamorise room and I saw the colourful bean bag's and the sparkly technolgy laid out on the tabil. Then we talked about eels and Caitlyn talked about some rocks. they weren't normal rocks they are spechil rocks. I loved the one that you can cut down tress then we played scratch. It is a game that you can make stuff like eels and backgrounds. I coded my self and my eel back and forward my eel was very mighty.
